Light Touch

Light Touch devices allow you to exchange coloured lights with friends and family across the internet. When you choose and send a colour, it pulses on the partner device then fades away slowly, so you can use them in realtime or leave traces for them to find later. Each Light Touch has two LED lights: a “send” light that you control from your device, and a “receive” light that your partner controls, as well as a touch sensor or button for selecting and sending colours. To select a colour, press down on the sensor, wait while the send light cycles through colours, and release when you find a colour you like. Then simply tap on the button to send your choice. The receive light on the partner device will light up instantly as a visible indication of your attention. That’s all there is to it!

Lights drop internet connection frequently

Hi, so I made these for a friend and me, but we get random interruptions in the connection.

We both run software to monitor our wifi networks and we can see that the lights disconnect randomly and reconnect most of the time. We both have to connect to the YoYo wifi and input our passwords every couple of days.

Is there something we could do to fix this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi! Are your Yo-Yo machines close to your WiFi router? It could be that if they’re too far away, they can’t connect and reset themselves.

I've experienced this problem when the WiFi network in question should be well within range. I'm going to have a go at proposing a fix. @toffee are you using your devices in an area with many WiFi networks? Do you have multiple access points for your network? It would be helpful to understand what conditions are common to our situations.
